WHAT WE DID WHILE CHARGING: This was a quick charge, so by the time we documented our stop, it was time to heard back out on the road. Had we not had to stop in Evanston, we probably would have gone shopping at the mall across the parking lot.
TIME START: 10:10 a.m.
TIME END: 10:30 a.m.
LENGTH OF CHARGE: 20 minutes
WH/MILE: 354 Wh/mile
HOW WE’RE FEELING: We are feeling good and have a manageable estimated time of arrival in Rapid City, S.D. this evening. We area hoping to stay on track despite the rainy weather. The rain is coming down fairly hard in some places, causing water to build up on the roads, but the car is handling everything well and we are being safe, keeping our cruise control off until it clears up a bit.
OTHER NOTES: In case anyone is wondering, it is perfectly safe to both drive and charge an electric vehicle in the rain. Thanks for continuing to follow along on our journey. Whitney is feeling better now, which is good news because we have about 9.5 hours left of driving for today.
